Optional audience measurement

Audience measurement is off unless you choose to allow it. It helps us understand which articles and subjects readers spend time with. You can decline or change your choice at any time using Privacy settings. Global Privacy Control and a browser’s Do Not Track preference are respected.

With permission, the site measures visible article cards, trusted article-link clicks, article openings, active reading seconds and reading completion in a pseudonymous session. Card measurements record their placement on this site, such as the front page or related stories, without recording search queries, external referrers or a cross-site profile. Time is counted only while the page is visible and focused, following recent interaction. We do not record what you type, mouse coordinates, screen recordings or a cross-site browsing history. We do not use these signals for advertising profiles.

Filtering automated traffic

Known crawler signals, signed challenges, timing checks and limits help reject obvious automation, replayed events and implausible reading activity. These checks estimate engaged sessions; they cannot prove that every visit belongs to a person. The publishing system uses aggregated results, not claims of perfectly verified human attention.

Retention and identifiers

Reading records are retained for up to 30 days. Session identifiers are temporary and are not tied to a reader account. Where a network-derived limit is used, only a rotating one-way identifier is retained in rate-limit records for up to 24 hours. Withdrawal also retains a temporary keyed revocation marker for up to 24 hours to stop late measurement requests recreating deleted samples; the application does not store raw IP addresses or full browser identity strings in audience records. Hosting providers may maintain operational logs under their own terms.

Saved stories and preferences

Your reading list, ticker preference and measurement choice are stored in this browser. Clearing site data removes these local preferences. Saved stories are not synchronized to a cloud account.

Contact requests

When you email the publisher, we use the message and contact details you provide to handle your request. Do not submit passwords, account keys or sensitive personal information. Your email provider also processes messages under its own terms.

Market ticker and external sources

The price ticker loads a TradingView service, which receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies under its privacy policy. Hide the ticker to prevent it loading on later visits until enabled. Source links and email services have their own privacy practices.
